Computer Lumen
Over this Victoria Day long weekend, I noticed in the regular CBC Arts email an interesting article about an artist who makes lumen prints using the computer monitor to expose photographic paper ... brilliant.
So of course, I have to try this technique and low and behold, it works; although I need to keep the paper better pressed against my laptop screen, I did get an image as you can see.
With some post-processing, there are several ways in which to work with the image.
This image was the first made when I was just starting with large format photography. I uploaded an electronic version of the negative, projected it on the screen and exposed the paper for about an hour. Then I took the image and scanned it for post-processing.
